TOP 10 MOST POPULAR FAQs

What is hosting?

In our context, “hosting” refers to providing the hardware and software platform on top of which customers can deploy web sites and web-based applications.

What is a domain name?

A domain name is a unique address which points to your website (e.g. example.co.uk/example). Many personal sites use only the domain name of their Internet Service Provider (ISP) but we strongly recommend you get your own domain name if your site is a commercial enterprise.

What is a Content Management System? (CMS)

A Content Management System (CMS) gives you complete control over your website, by allowing you to add or change any content on your website – pages, images, news, products descriptions and prices, the list is endless.

How long will it take for my website to be published?

The time it takes to build a site depends on the complexity of the site. If you have a deadline, we will work hard to meet it. The most common cause of delay is the content (text/images) from the client.

Do I own my website?

YES! Everything that we build will be 100% owned by you. Most of our clients stay with us for the life of the website. Our team is just irresistible that way. But if for any reason you decide you want to take your site to another hosting service and get another company to service the site, we will happily assist you in making the transition as effortlessly and efficiently as possible. The website is yours after all, and we want you to take it wherever you go.

What services do you provide?

We provide a wide range of services like Web Design/Development, SEO and Email/Domain Services. For a full list, please visit the Services section on the top menu.

Do I need a domain name?

If you want to set up a website, you probably need a domain name.

Some people set up free blogs or other types of sites using a domain name that belong to a third-party service like WordPress.com or Tumblr. That’s okay for small personal blogs — but if you want to build a serious online presence, you really should have your own domain name.

How much does your websites cost?

Our prices depend on many factors. To get a better idea of the cost of what you need, give us a quick phone call. We’ll ask a few questions about your project, what features and interactivity you’ll need, who will handle content development, whether or not you’d like to sell online. After this short discussion, we should be able to give you a baseline number. If you’re still interested, we’ll be happy to develop a comprehensive proposal that outlines the scope, process and costs.

Who will I work with during the project?

This is a great question to ask and you should ask it of any web design and development firm you are considering. Many firms will farm out work to freelancers or interns. Some firms give little or no access to client’s who want to speak directly with their designers or developers. When it comes to our company though, all of the work will be handled by our in-house staff, so who that will be depends on your project needs and what stage of the process you are in during the project.

What is a static or dynamic website? and which one suites me?

A static website is coded entirely with HTML where every webpage is a separate document without any database or external file to depend. Said this, the only way to edit such page is editing each page separately. A dynamic website has complex code like php or ASP with greater degree of functionality such as integrated with content management system. This has database and other source support. In this, you can update web pages without having knowledge of HTML or software. It solely depends upon your project type and the purpose. While fixed websites (that don’t require much data to be drawn from external sources) are better developed in static, others are good in dynamic.
